Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about our jeep safaris in Habarana, the best national parks to visit, what to bring, and how to book.

The best time for an elephant safari in Habarana is during the afternoon, usually between 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM. During this time, the heat of the day decreases, and large herds of wild elephants come out of the dense jungle to drink water and bathe in the lakes of Minneriya or Kaudulla National Parks.

It depends on the season! The elephants migrate between Minneriya, Kaudulla, and Hurulu Eco Park throughout the year. Because we are local experts, our drivers know exactly which park has the largest herds on any given day, ensuring you get the best private jeep safari experience possible.

A typical Habarana elephant safari lasts about 2 to 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time to drive through the park, track the elephants, take amazing photos, and observe other wildlife like birds, crocodiles, and monkeys without rushing.

Our jeep rental is priced per jeep (which can comfortably seat up to 6 people). However, the National Park entrance tickets are priced per person. When you contact us via WhatsApp, we will give you a clear, transparent total price with absolutely no hidden fees.
